Light showers likely in some parts of State

There is chance of light showers along with lightening activities in isolated parts of Chambal division and districts including Guna, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar, Rajgarh districts. High velocity winds clocking speed of 30-40 km per hours and hail storm are also likely in some parts of Chambal division and districts in aforesaid regions of state,” said Weather Department.

In the meantime, Bhopal on Friday observed sultry weather. Though city’s maximum temperature was 40.1 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal level then also people faced harrowing time due to heat. Throughout the day, heat chased people.
 
Jabalpur’s maximum temperature soared to 42 degrees Celsius, 1 degrees above normal. Gwalior recorded maximum temperature at 40.6 degrees Celsius, 1 degree below normal. The highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded in Khajuraho, Khargone and Malajkhand.
 
Maximum temperatures of other places are: Hoshangabad 41 degrees Celsius, Indore 39.6 degrees Celsius, Raisen 41.4 degrees Celsius, Shajapur 40.5 degrees Celsius, Ujjain 39.5 degrees Celsius, Betul 41.4 degrees Celsius, Khandwa 40.5 degrees Celsius, Chhindwara 41 degrees Celsius, Damoh 42 degrees Celsius, Mandla 42.4 degrees Celsius, Naugaon 42.1 degrees Celsius, Satna 41.1 degrees Celsius, Seoni 41 degrees Celsius, Sidhi 41 degrees Celsius,Tikamgarh 40.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
 
As weather is hot and humid, people are thronging at cold drink shops to quench their thirst. Therefore demand of cold drink items has shot up substantially everywhere.
 
Even natural cold drink items including sugarcane juice, fruit juice etc. In the meantime, people are also falling sick to seasonal diseases. Mostly, it is water borne diseases which are taking toll on people. Hospitals are witnessing long queues of patient suffering from fever, loose motion and vice versa.
