Power Company holds workshop on departmental enquiry

Chhattisgarh State Power Company conducted a departmental enquiry which was centered on the subject ‘Departmental Enquiry’. The workshop which was conducted at Seva Bhawan, the State Power Companies HQ, was chaired by Chairman Shailendra Shukla. Giving his impression on the subject Chairman Shailendra Shukla said that Departmental Enquiry is an important act and procedure. The objective behind carrying of departmental enquiry is to provide justice to the sufferer employees and officers. Departmental inquiry is part and parcel of any good organisation, wherein, a fair chance is also given to the person charge-sheeted to defend himself.

In the same line Director (HR) Ajay Dubey while addressing the august gathering, said in order to maintain discipline in the organisation, Departmental Inquiry is necessary. In the inaugural speech by H K Pandey GM(HR) stated that the discharging the duties lawfully is desirable and advantageous to the organisation. Due to ignorance of service rules and conduct workers and officials make mistakes.
 
Keynote speaker and expert on the subject Executive Director Anand Tiwari IPS (Retd) focused on necessity of conducting Departmental Enquiry, relevant rules, provision in the constitution of India, natural justice of Law, Framing of charges, Providing opportunities to the charge sheeted person, providing necessary documents to delinquent officer, Role of Enquiry officers, witnesses, ex-party Departmental Enquiry, Appeal for revision and punishment etc.
Workshop was chaired by the Chairman of Power Company Shailendra Shukla. He was accompanied by MD (Transmission) Tripti Sinha. Other dignitaries present there were H K Pandey, Harsh Gautam, A K Shrivastava, Sunil Mehta along with 50 Superintending Engineers across the power company. The marathon program was anchored by Addl. General Manager (Public Relation) Vijay Mishra.
