Wanted criminal apprehended

Vijay Nagar police have succeeded in apprehending a wanted criminal of cash prize of Rs 5,000 who was absconding in several sensitive crime cases since more than 2.6-years. The accused has been identified as Saurabh alias Patta Sen (28), son of Narayan Sen, resident of Dixitpura in Kotwali and currently lived at a rented house in Garha Fatak.
SHO of Vijay Nagar police station, U. S. Soni informed this while addressing a press conference, on Friday.

It may be noted that, on February 2, 2015, Saurabh alias Patta, Pinku Kala, Neeraj Thakur, Mohammed Abrar Chhappan, Sameer and others were absconding after attempting murder of a woman in Kotwali and murder of Golu Aijaz in Hanumantal. Police had arrested Pinku Kala, Neeraj Thakur and Mohammed Abrar Chhappan but Saurabh Sen of Dixitpura and Sameer Pathan, son of Kalu Pahalwan were absconding.
 
Saurabh Patta was also wanted in around 25 several sensitive crime cases of attempting murder, trade of narcotic substances, firing, attack, bomb lobbing, illegal money recovery etc in Kotwali, Lordganj and Hanumantal police stations. He was absconding since more than 2.6-years.
 
Taking a serious note on absconding criminal, Superintendent of Police had declared cash ward of Rs. 5,000 for apprehending or giving any information about Saurabh Patta.
 
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Nimish Agrawal (IPS), police have started a special campaign to ensure apprehension of wanted criminals under the supervision of Additional SP (South), Dr. Sanjeev
Uikey and CSP, Garha, Amit Tolani (IPS). During the campaign, Vijay Nagar police received information of wanted criminal Saurabh Patta. Acting promptly on the information, a police team led by SHO of Vijay Nagar police station, U. S. Soni started a rigorous search and succeeded in apprehending the accused near MR-4 road. The accused was arrested with active working of police team led by SHO, U. S. Soni comprised of Head Constable, Rajesh Verma, Constables, Shailendra Patwa, Vinay, Ashwani Dwivedi and Cyber Cell’s Constables, Rajesh Verma, Vandit Rajput and Chandrika Prasad.
