“Congress is working to strengthen the next generation of ‘Namdaars’ while we are working to strengthen the country,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing an election rally in Itarsi on Wednesday. Despite the sweltering heat, people came in large numbers to hear the Prime Minister. Modi once again raked the air strike issue saying, “we have killed those who patronised terrorism in their own homes. India’s action has become talking point across the world.” He added that after India’s action, terrorists undergoing training have gone into hiding and Pakistan is having sleepless nights. Talking about Congress’ manifesto, PM Modi said that Congress is seeking to withdraw Army from Jammu and Kashmir and wants to abolish law which empowers the Army.

Congress leaders are also singing in chorus that Kashmir should have separate Prime Minister. Congress has stepped down to anti-national activities. Training guns towards Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Bhopal, Digvijay Singh, PM Modi said that after bomb blasts, the Sri Lankan Government banned channels of Zakir Naik. “This is the same Zakir Naik in whose Darbar Digvijay Singh went and praised him. The darbari of Congress describes Zakir Naik as an angel of peace. Moreover, the then Congress government had even invited Zakir Naik to give lecture to police officers of the country,” he added. Talking about Congress’ promise of waiving off farmers’ loans, he said that no loan waiver took place and now farmers have started to get bank notices.

He said that Congress government destroyed the State in four months. Congress asked officials to cut power bills by half but entire electricity supply has been wiped out. The Centre wanted to deposit money into the accounts of farmers but State Government created hurdle in this regard. “Our government will give pension to small shop-keepers, labourers and marginal farmers after 60 years of age,” he assured. Indirectly talking about IT raids carried out sometime back in Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister said that Congress Government siphoned off money sent by him for pregnant women and malnourished children. The siphoned off money was later sent to Tuglaq road of Delhi for facelift of ‘Naamdars’. He also mentioned various successful schemes started by his government. On this occasion, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other BJP leaders were also present.
