Congress National President Rahul Gandhi claimed that the party was going to come to power in the country and when that happened, farmers would not go to jail for non-payment of loans as law would be changed. He was addressing a public rally in Piparia in Hoshangabad constituency on Wednesday. Gandhi also said that Congress would give 33 per cent reservation to women in Central Government services apart from 33 per cent in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Vidhan Sabhas. Moreover, annual Rs 72000 would be deposited into the bank accounts of 25 crore poorest of poor people.
 
 
Asserting that the Congress government in State would probe the Vyapam scam, he said that as of now if any youth wanted to start his own business, he needed various kinds of permissions from government offices. However Congress would ensure that anyone who started business would not need to take permission for at least the first three years.
 
He was addressing a public rally in support of party candidate, Diwan Shailendra Singh. Referring to how the slogan ‘Chowkidar Chor Hain’ started, he said that he was addressing a rally in Chhattisgarh when just referred to the assertion of PM Narendra Modi that he was ‘Chowkidar’. Suddenly some youths shouted that ‘Chor Hain’ and in this manner the ‘Chowkidar Chor Hain’ slogan came in existence. He also accused the PM of not fulfilling the promise of giving jobs to 2 crore youths. “On the contrary, 27,000 youths are losing jobs every 24 hours,” he added. He also cornered Modi Government on demonetisation issue.
