Simga police bags performance shield

In a major feat to Raipur Range Police, particularly Baloda Bazaar, Director General of Police (DPG) D M Awasthi on Wednesday felicitated Simga police station for its excellent performance to ensure peaceful execution of Lok Sabha elections. Sigma police station in Baloda Bazaar district is the first police station of Chhattisgarh felicitated with a shield by DGP for its commendable work.
 
On the Raipur Range Inspector General of Police (IG) Dr Anand Chhabra, Deputy Inspector General (CID) Dr Sanjeev Shukla and Superintendent of Police (SP) Neethu Kamal were present. Ahead of Lok Sabha elections in State, a situation of dispute surfaced between two groups on April 1.
 
After being informed about the circumstances which may possibly impact the law and order in the state during election, a police team led by Simga Station House Officer rushed to the spot and brought situation under control. To keep officials and staff of Simga police station motivated, DGP Awasthi felicitated them with a shield. The police personnel, who played important role in maintaining the peace during elections, were Sub Divisional Officer of Police (Bhatapara) K B Dwivedi, Simga SHO Deenbandhu Uike, Head Constable Bulaki Aadil, Constable Prashant Dhar Diwan, Constable Rakesh Sharma and Constable Kamal Pratap. These personnel were conferred with citation by DGP.
