Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi launched the new poster of movie ‘PM Narendra Modi’ at Gadkari’s residence here on Monday. Interestingly, the poster carries the tagline ‘Aa rahe hain dobara, PM Narendra Modi. Ab koi rok nahi sakta’ (PM Narendra Modi is coming to power again, no one can stop him).

The movie is a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Asked if the new poster has been launched against the backdrop of the Exit Poll results predicting a big win for the ruling dispensation led by Modi, Gadkari and Oberoi smiled. Commenting on the Exit Polls, Gadkari said that Exit Polls were not the final thing but provided enough hint that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would retain power at the Centre. “It is for sure that BJP will be forming the Government again under the leadership of Narendra Modi, who will become Prime Minister again,” he said in reply to a repeatedly asked question if he (Gadkari) would become Prime Minister. As far as his ministry is concerned, Gadkari said that it was the prerogative of the Prime Minister to allot portfolios to ministers. Oberoi, who plays the lead role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the biopic, said that he was confident about Modi becoming the Prime Minister again.

“Now the Exit Polls also indicate the same,” he added and pointed at the tagline in the new poster of the movie. In the past five years, the country has changed, he said. The biopic is slated for release on May 24, a day after the announcement of results of Lok Sabha elections. It will be released in 40 countries across the world. Election Commission of India (ECI) had stayed the release of the movie on April 11, as it coincided with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The film-makers approached the Supreme Court, which sough report from the ECI.

The ECI team watched the film in a special screening and submitted its report to the apex court, which refused to intervene in the matter. “It has been a difficult journey. Some people tried to disrupt release of the film, but we succeeded finally. Now, the film is releasing on May 24. Every Indian should watch this movie. For, the very personality of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inspiring,” said Oberoi. Sandeep Ssingh, producer of the film, also was present at the launch of the poster. In reply to a question, he called Gadkari his ‘lucky charm’. For, Gadkari had launched posters of his two previous biopics namely ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarabjeet’. He said, “I appeal to media to persuade Nitin Gadkari to allow us to make a biopic on him.” Gadkari responded with a smile, “I am not that big a person.” Later, Director of the movie Omung Kumar B tweeted, “Bharat mein har kaam ki shuruaat shankh bajaakar ki jaati hain... (In India, all big things start with blowing of the conch)... presenting the new poster of #PMNarendraModi.”
