13 killed, 3 hurt in truck-SUV collision near Malkapur

IN a ghastly road mishap, total 13 persons were killed while three were injured seriously in the head-on collision of a Tata Max vehicle and a truck in front of Rasoya Company near Dharangaon in Malkapur tehsil of Buldana district on National Highway no 6 around 2.30 pm on Monday. As per reports, the truck (MH-40/BG-9112) heading towards Nagpur from Mumbai collided with Tata Max vehicle (MH-46/X-7925) heading towards Anurabad from Malkapur at around 2.30 pm. So strong was the impact of dash that 13 out of 16 passengers from Tata Max vehicle were killed on the spot while three were injured seriously. Municipal Council Chief Adv Harish Rawal reached the spot along with an ambulance and a crane.
 
 
Sub Divisional Police Officer Girish Bobade, City Police Inspector Hanumant Gaikwad, Rural Police Inspector Jaybhaye along with other cops also reached the spot and took out three injured persons from Max vehicle that was crushed under the wheels of truck, with the help of crane. Total 13 persons, including six women, five men and two children have been killed in the mishap. The deceased persons have been identified as Anil Mukund Dhage (40), Kisan Sukdev Borade (42), Nathhu Waman Chaudhari (40), and Chhaya Gajanan Khadse (40), all residents of Anurabad; Prakash Bharambe (35), both the residents of Jamner road, Bhusawal; Somibai Chhagan Shivdatkar (26), a resident of Nagziri in Barhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh and currently living in Anurabad; Satish Chhagan Shivdatkar (3), Viren Gokul Bhilvatkar (7), both residing in Nagziri in Madhya Pradesh State; Minabai Bilorkar, Arti and Rehka.
 
Long queues were noticed on both the sides of road after the mishap. Considering the explosives loaded in the ill-fated truck and anguish of villagers, SDPO Bobade had summoned the fire brigade vehicles to control the situation. Later, City, Rural and Highway Police regularised the traffic. The injured persons were rushed to Sub District Hospital. District Superintendent of Police Dilip Bhujbal, Deputy Superintendent of Police Hemrajshingh Rajput visited the hospital and inquired the health of injured persons.
