ADG Anil Kumar directs private security agencies to produce quarterly info till May 31

“All the registered private security agencies will have to produce quarterly information about their security guards in prescribed format (form-10) compulsorily”, said Additional Director General of Police Anil Kumar in a meeting held at the Police Headquarter’s conference hall in the State capital on Monday. ADG, State Industrial Security and Private Security Agency, Anil Kumar holding meeting of the directors of private security agencies, emphasised on following the Private Security Act, Regularisation Act-2005 and Private Security Authority Regularisation Act-2012 strictly. ADG Anil Kumar said that the private security agency directors should focus on interest of registered security guards working in their agencies and also provide them proper training, benefit under EPF and ESIC compulsorily.
 
Anil Kumar said that the security agencies found violating the norms, their registration will be cancelled. He said that private security agency after registration must recruit supervisors within two months and must start work of deployment of security guards within six months. ADG also warned the directors of security agencies to conduct verification of character of security guards under determined provisions. Directors of private security agencies were given information in detail about Private Security Agency Regulation Act (PSARA) under which the operation of private security agencies is governed. Queries of directors of private security agencies were also solved in the meeting.
 
The directors having more than 200 security guards in their agencies were called in the meeting. Notably, a total of 1,034 security authorises have been issued license in the State. Assistant Inspector General, State Industrial Security, Atul Singh and Bittu Sehgal and directors of private security agencies were present in the meeting.
