Rakesh Singh flays CM for arrest of BJP’s Chhindwara Assembly by-poll candidate
   Date :22-May-2019

Chief Minister, Kamal Nath gets annoyed of party’s possible defeat in Lok Sabha elections. And in a fit of anger, he is playing gimmicks and taking immoral steps. Earlier, he got registered fake cases against BJP workers and now, getting them arrested so that he could do everything needed for victory during counting of votes, alleged Rakesh Singh, State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Rakesh Singh, while talking to media over arrest of BJP candidate of Chhindwara Assembly by-election, Banti Sahu and 21 counting agents in connection with an old case. Singh said, the BJP has demanded the Election Commission for immediate intervention into the matter.

For the same, a delegation of senior party leaders led by former Minister, Umashankar Gupta has submitted a written application to the Election Commission. He said, the Police have arrested Banti Sahu and 21 counting agents in connection with a 20-day-old incident. Singh said, counting of votes cast for Lok Sabha elections and Assembly by-election would be done on May 23. And arrest of BJP workers just two days earlier of the counting day has amply proved that the Chief Minister wants to keep the BJP candidate and counting agents away from counting. He alleged that Kamal Nath Government wants to pressurise BJP by implicating its workers in false crime or getting them arrested by Police.

He said, the party would not tolerate any such act. He warned that the party would be bound to take strong steps if its Chhindwara Assembly by-election candidate and counting agents are not released immediately. BJP State President Rakesh Singh said, the Congress Government has no future. The Chief Minister is trying hard to save the Government, which is walking on crutches. But his efforts would yield no result. Singh said, great resentment is brewing amongst people against State Government. People don’t want Congress Government to continue and Congress leaders and workers know it very well, added Singh.
