In a major success achieved towards providing services to its consumers, Chhattisgarh State Power Companies Limited has established and commissioned Central India’s biggest Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Centre. The center which has been established at Gudiyari in the capital under Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP), is a step ahead towards automation of power distribution process. With the establishment of this Centre, it will be able to identify any kind of disruption in power supply in the capital within minutes. Before establishment of this SCADA centre, it took 1-2 hours in identifying faults in the system.

Chairman Shailendra Shukla has initiated implementation of modern technology with an objective to supply quality power to the people of the state. Accordingly with top priority, the upgradation of power infrastructures in generation, transmission and distribution system is being carried out.

The SCADA centre established in Gudiyari will be monitoring functioning of all 300 11kv feeders supplying power to capital Raipur which outlets from 33/11KV sub-stations and in case of fault in any feeder, supply can be normalized from a neighbouring feeder at the earliest. The SCADA system has been connected with the SAP system of the Chhattisgarh State Power Companies which would ensure information regarding any kind of supply failures to the consumers.
