RMNH inaugurates another Summer Nature Study Programme ‘Green Teens’

Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal, organised nature painting programme on Wednesday, concluding day of Summer Nature Study Programme ‘Green Cubs’. During the programme, participants created painting based on plants, wildlife, ponds, waterfalls, mountains etc. in the guidance of Navin Kumar, Artist and Shivaji Rao, Preparatory Assistant. Participants showed the importance of environment and its conservation through the painting. Dr Beenish Rafat, Scientist-B was the Co-ordinator of the programme. RMNH also inaugurated Summer Nature Study Programme-Green Teens on Wednesday.
 
It will be from May 22 to June 5 for the students of class 8 to 10. During the inauguration programme, Scientist-B and Co-ordinator of the programme Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-B detailed about the activities to be held during the SNSP- Green Teens. During the programme, Scientist-B and In-charge of the museum Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma told to participants about the conservation of environment and importance of wildlife. Dr Beenish Rafat, Scientist-B appealed to the participants to contribute for environment conservation through activities.
 
On the first day of the programme, Cont. Museum Interpreter detailed about the biodiversity available at museum. Participants also visited the permanent gallery, temporary galleries, discovery centre, traditional conservation and wetland conservation mini-court yards, etc. during the museum visit. Films “Kanha” on wildlife conservation and “Fridge” on global warming were screened by Anil K. Sonparote, Projectionist during film show.
