Ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that by seeing the strong possibility of return of NDA Government at the Centre as shown by exit polls, Congress has understood that it is not going to win the Lok Sabha election. In a lighter vein, he told that Congressmen cannot hold Rahul Gandhi responsible for defeat, hence, they are preparing to blame the EVMs for imminent defeat. Chouhan was speaking to mediapersons at BJP office in State capital on Thursday. He claimed that BJP is going to register landslide victory in Lok Sabha elections.

Buoyed by the massive mandate given to BJP-led NDA by exit polls, he told that Congress is not concerned about counting, rather it will approach the Election Commission along with complaint of snag in EVMs. He alleged that Opposition parties are doing mockery of democracy and putting question mark on the Election Commission.

Moreover, they are also insulting the voters. He added that questioning of EVMs is also the insult of those thousands of government employees, police personnel and jawans who worked tirelessly to hold elections in free and fair manner. In the meantime, he demanded generator facility at all vote counting centres. Taking a jibe at Congress Government, he said that even in Bhopal, power supply is affected more than ten times, hence, the Election Commission should not rely on power supply. He alleged that though Government officials are doing their duty honestly but administration is building undue pressure on them.
