Pakhi beats death to top Class 12 exam

In a road accident she suffered serious head injury and was in a comatose stage for six months. She recovered from coma, but her struggle continued as she was able to move only half of her body. She overcome all sufferings and made a fresh start. It is the story of Pakhi Mor who topped in Arts stream in Class 12 examination of Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) with 95.7 per cent here on Tuesday. Pakhi’s determination and hard work paid off.
 
She has now become a role model for many. And her parents played a major role behind her success. Pakhi topped in her school with 98.8 per cent in Class 10. She took admission in Science stream but the accident changed everything. Pakhi a student of Hislop College and a previous State-level chess player, has not yet recovered fully as she is unable to write a single word by her own.
 
“She is a very dedicated girl with full of determination. She made us proud and happy,” said her father Aruni Kumar Mor to The Hitavada. Pakhi scored 622 marks out of 650. She scored 92 marks in English, 91 in Hindi, 97 in Political Science, 95 in Philosophy, 99 in Logic, 98 in Psychology and 50 in Environment Education. Her father is a businessman and mother Prachi Mor is an architect. According to them, Pakhi is a real life hero who beat the extrteme struggle. In chess, she bagged many trophies and awards. In academics she topped many exams and competitions, and in the life she proved herself.
