Swami Subodhanand takes charge as Chairman, ‘Math-Mandir’ Committee

Newly appointed Chairman of the ‘Math-Mandir’ Advisory Committee formed by the State government, Swami Subodhanand Maharaj, took charge at the Mantralaya on Tuesday. Swami Subodhanand Maharaj said that, regular ‘puja’ will be performed in temples where ‘puja’ is not being performed regularly or where the temple land has been encroached upon by other persons. In addition to this, the temple land will be freed from encroachments.
 
Endowments and Public Relations Minister P C Sharma said that, the term of the committee will be 6 years. A Secretary will be appointed in the committee. The committee will monitor the work of ‘Math-Mandir’ of the entire State. The recommendations proposed for protection of the temples will be implemented by the committee.
 
On this occasion, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, Higher Education Minister Jitu Patwari, Tribal Affairs Minister Omkar Singh Markam, Urban Development Minister Jaivardhan Singh and Principal Secretary Endowments Manoj Shrivastava were present. After taking charge, Swami Subodhanand Maharaj also visited Madhya Pradesh Assembly, where Assembly Speaker Narmada Prasad Prajapati greeted him with bouquet of flowers. On this occasion, Assembly Principal Secretary A P Singh was also present.
