Work hard and smart, says Ishika

“There is no secret, you just have to work hard and smart throughout the year. I studied 5-6 hours daily with proper time table,” said Ishika Satija, the Commerce topper of Class 12 examination of Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with 96.3 per cent here on Tuesday. Ishika scored 626 marks out of 650. She scored 100 marks in Accountancy, 95 in Organisation of Commerce (OC), 94 in English, 96 in Economics, 96 in Secretarial Practice (SP), 95 in Information Technology (IT) and 50 in Physical Education subjects. “I am happy because I never expected this marks.
 
My teachers and my parents have been really helpful. They never pressurised me to score well,” said Ishika to The Hitavada. Ishika is a student of Kaushalyadevi Maheshwari Mahavidyalaya. She scored 91.2 per cent in Class 10 board exam from Somalwar High School. Ishika wants to be a Chartered Accountant (CA) and she is going to appear in upcoming CPT examination on June 16. Dance is her hobby and she participated in various competitions at school level. She also played various games in school. Ishika’s father Naresh Satija is a businessman and mother Neha Satija is a home maker. “I have got emotional support from my family, when I was tensed.
 
Also, my parents never pressurised me to score good, which is why I took the board exams in a positive manner,” she stated. While talking about teachers, Ishika said, “I would give the credit of all my success to my school teachers. I gave importance to school and self-study, as both have its own relevance. I never skip my school and that helped me.”Ishika believes that every student should avoid last minute study and follow syllabus notes regularly for revision.
