Girls outshine boys

Overall passing percentage of 83.4%
 
The CBSE will announce its Class X Board results on May 5
 
Once again, girls outshone boy students in the class XII results announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday. The overall passing percentage was 83.4 percent in which the girls pushed boys on back foot with the difference of 9 percent. Where the girls scored 88.70 passing percent, boys could manage only 79.4 percent.
 
It may be mentioned that, the result came as a surprise to everyone concerned with Education Department, as earlier, the CBSE announced that the results to be declared either on second or third week of May, 2019. Around 13 lakh students appeared for class XII Board examination conducted by CBSE between February 15 and April 4, 2019. The students can view their results through official website of CBSE i.e.
 
www.cbseresults.nic.in. For viewing the results through CBSE’s official website, the students would have to click on the link ‘Senior School Certificate Examination’, enter their roll numbers and other details and click the ‘submit’ and the results would appear on the screen.
