Vice President of Anteres System arrested in e-tender case

Accused was having responsibility of maintenance, development and design of MP’s e-tender portal. The arrest was made after probe indicated many incriminating things against Manohar 
 
In connection with e-tender scam, the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) has arrested Vice President of Anteres System Limited (Bangalore), Manohar MN on Thursday. Moreover, EOW is also continuing interrogation of other employees of company and it is likely that some more persons could be arrested in future course of investigation. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Director General of EOW K N Tiwari told that Vice President of Anteres System Limited, Manohar MN has been arrested in e-tender scam.
 
Accused was having responsibility of maintenance, development and design of Madhya Pradesh’s e-tender portal. He added that arrest was made after probe indicated many incriminating things against Manohar. Failures were find in ensuring vigilance in data security and system security. It seems that either Manohar MN was hand in glove with OSMO IT Solutions or his alleged negligence in different kind of security provided chance to OSMO IT Solutions to change the tender bid to lowest. Answering to a question, he told that EOW has sought list of e-tenders from different Government departments. Replying another question, he told that if any other officer is found guilty then he will be also arrested and grilled.
 
He added that initially, EOW is probing alleged irregularities connected with nine e tenders of different departments. The number of e-tenders processed through MP e-tender portal is in lakhs. To check that how many e-tenders were tampered with, information will be collected from data. EOW said that during investigation, Manohar MN was found hand in globe with accused of Madhya Pradesh Electronics Development Corporation and Vinay Chaudhary and Varun Chaturvedi of OSMO IT Solutions.
 
Probe found Anteres System Limited guilty of failing to safeguard data of Madhya Pradesh e-Procurement Portal and breaching its secrecy. The accused company provided information of user ID and pass word of E procurement portal to Vinay Chaudhary and Varun Chaturvedi of OSMO IT Solutions Limited. These accused later tampered bids of different departments in e procurement portal and thus did scam of crores of rupees by misusing user ID and password.
