Desiltation work of Upper Lake underway

The desiltation work of Upper Lake continues in State capital. Even on Wednesday, desiltation work was carried out in Bhadbhada and Bisenkhedi area of Upper Lake. Total 354 trips mud was excavated from Upper Lake.
The digging work is being done with the help of heavy machines such as JCB, Pokelan machine etc and dumpers are being used to transport and dump the excavated mud. Even public participation is being ensured in digging work of upper lake so that it becomes deep and its water holding capacity gets increased.
The excavated mud of Upper Lake is being supplied to nurseries, parks etc. Even people are taking the excavated mud by their own transport vehicles to spray it in their gardens or fields. Bhopal Municipal Corporation is appealing people to come forward to help it in deepening of upper lake by carrying out digging work. Notably, it is from past many days that Bhopal Municipal Corporation is digging various identified areas of Upper Lake where there is no water.
