Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shaikh Arif Husen on Wednesday inspected Expressway and gave necessary directives to officials concerned to ensure smooth and accident-free vehicular movement on the 12 km-long newly constructed patch.

On the occasion, the SSP was accompanied by project manager of Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation (CGRDC) Subhash Chandra and deputy project manager Jatin Singh. While inspecting the Expressway, developed between Raipur Railway Station and Mana, SSP Husen closely reviewed the vehicular movement on flyovers at Fafadih, Devendra Nagar, Pandri, Shankar Nagar, Telibandha and Ring Road Number-1.

As a move to prevent road accident, SSP Husen has directed officials concerned to make service lane on the Expressway one-way, installation of sufficient number of signage highlighting information about speed-limit, no-parking, helpline number and other. Similarly, the officer has directed to ensure installation of adequate number of street light for ensuring proper visibility during night hours and installation of self-operated signals on squares with high vehicular pressure.
