DGP Awasthi felicitates ERV personnel

Director General of Police (DGP) DM Awasthi on Thursday felicitated the personnel of DIAL 112 Service who saved the life of a pregnant woman by urgently rushing her to the hospital in the nick of time on May 12. On May 12, 2019, someone called up DIAL 112, informing woman was going through labour pain and need critical medical attention at Kasaniya turn at Katghora area.
An Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) dashed to the spot. As the ERV team prepared to take the woman to hospital, Korba Police officials changed the plan and asked the staffers to rather get the medical staff to the spot considering the excruciating pain the woman was going through. While all this was going on, woman gave birth to a baby in ERV.
So, the officials called on the nurse to ERV and ensured the safety of infant. Locals wholeheartedly admired the sensitive and humane face of the police. Acknowledging the act of Katghora Police, DGP Awasthi felicitated constable Sukhdev Ram Munda with citation and plaudit the Korba Police in the presence of senior officials.
