Patwari congratulates Megha Parmar for scaling Mt Everest

Congratulating Megha Parmar for climbing the world’s highest peak ‘Mount Everest’, Sports Minister Jitu Patwari said that firm decision, a will to do something different and passion makes every path easier. Parmar scaled Mt Everest on May 22 at 5 am. On May 22, Megha Parmar of Bhoj Nagar, a small village in Sehore district, climbed the 29,028 feet, world’s highest mountain peak ‘’Mount Everest’, known as Sagarmatha.
 
Megha left Bhopal on April 5 and reached Kathmandu at night from where she began her journey. On April 8, she reached Lukla and on April 9, she began trekking from Lukla and reached Namche, on April 11. She passed Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Borkshashep and reached Kala Pathhar and Everest Base on April 15. She practised trekking every day around the Everest Base Camp. Parmar began climbing for the final summit from the Base Camp on May 12. On May 20, she reached Camp 4 and reached the last summit 5 late in the night. After night-long trekking, she finally made it to Mount Everest peak at 5 am and touched Sagarmatha peak.
 
Three other members of the team could not complete the final summit. Ratnesh Pandey, who accompanied Megha, could not complete the summit as he rescued two mountaineers and his oxygen also finished. After halting at the peak for 30m minutes, while returning Megha’s Sherpa became sick due to frost bite near Camp 4. Megha reached Camp 3 on May 22 at 7 pm alone and after staying there till the night of May 23; she began trekking in the night and reached Camp 2 at 5 am on May 24.
