While working for the prevention of child labour in collaboration with campaign against child labour and Mahatma Gandhi Sewa ashram, Save the children realise to spread the awareness about the child rights business principles to different business houses and related stake holders to ensure strong, well educated communities that are vital to a stable, inclusive and sustainable business environment.

It is apparent that the child labour is seen deployed in various sectors in the State but unfortunately the child labour complaints are not getting registered making the whole system feeble to work upon the cause for abolishing the same. Highlighting the sectors where child labour is apparent in society a child counsellor says that there are areas where children are deployed for baby sitting at homes , they are also seen working as maid servants mainly assisting their mothers which is also an act of child labour which goes unreported. The child labour are seen in good numbers in the marriage parties where they carry lamps for marriage processions , distributes water pouches , cleaning the garbage etc .

The other sector where the child labour is prevalent is rag pickers where the small children are also seen collecting rags and working for scarp vendors un officially. These children are usually pushed by their parents to make work for additional income . Upon the initiative of labour commissioner and child labour helpline was launched to receive the complaints of child labour. Reportedly, International Labour Organisation (ILO) has also provided assistance for attaining the objective.

Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states of the country which is a part of the convergence of the project of the International Labour Organisations. In Bhopal, the highest number of children working as child labour comes under the age group 12-16 and most of them are deployed as permanent employees at different sectors. Most of them were found working as mechanic, housemaid, tailor shops, street vendor, helpers at chops, newspaper boys, assisting at marriage function etc. In the survey conducted their parents and employers were also involved so that other details about the psychological aspect of child labour can be surfaced. Hence, to develop the child rights business principle for wide spread and easy communication with different stake holders across MP. The Child Rights Business principle will be launched in an event on May 31 at Hotel Lake View Ashok from 6 pm to 8.30 pm.
