Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally in Rewa on Friday. Coming down heavily on Modi government, Gandhi told that demonetisation and GST proved bane to small businesses and factories. Now, India is having unemployment at the highest level in 45 years. In every 24 hours, 27,000 youths are losing their jobs. To tide over this problem, Congress has come up with NYAY scheme.

Rahul Gandhi accused Modi government of snatching money from people, in the garb of demonetisation and GST and giving to persons like Neerav Modi, Vijay Mallaya etc. He asserted that 12,000 small business got closed due to demonetisation and ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’.

Raking up Rafale fighter jet deal to corner Modi government, he said why petrol prices are increasing at a time when prices are declining globally?

Training guns towards ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he termed Chouhan an announcement machine.
Talking about NYAY scheme, he told that NYAY scheme will serve two causes, firstly, it will provide Rs 72,000 per annum to poor people and secondly, it will act as a booster to the economy which is allegedly suffering due to demonetisation and GST. He told that traders should not think that NYAY scheme is not meant for them and will not benefit them. Rather it will benefit small traders.

He said when poor people will get money, they will start spending money on purchasing ho usehold things such as paint, shirt, brush mobile phone etc and no sooner did sale of items will start from shops, factories will get start. Then the factories will call the youths, who lost job in the wake of demonetisation and GST, and will ask them to start work of production. In this way, once again economy will get started.

He took swipe on BJP by telling that “They can’t understand that economy could not run without money,”. He also said that if Congress regime comes then no farmer who fails to pay up loan would land into the jail.
He reiterated that 22 lakh positions are vacant in centre and on coming of Congress government, these vacant job positions would be filled. He also said that youths who are dreaming to start their business would initially don’t need to get certain departmental permissions.

They will rather need to apply for permissions after 3 years when their business will get settled down. He asked people that they are having two options, first there is lie of Rs 15 lakh and vice versa and second there is benefit of NYAY scheme. On this occasion, Chief Minister Kamal Nath and other senior Congress leaders were also present.
