Assets worth lakhs recovered from Indore engineer

A team of Lokayukta, on Saturday, raided the premises of a sub-engineer working at planning wing of the Indore Development Authority (IDA) and unearthed assets worth rupees several lakhs, highly disproportionate to his known sources of income.
 
His presently income is Rs 55,000 per month. A sum of Rs 35 lakh, 2 kg gold, 3 kg silver, including papers of four shops, more than four plots at posh locations and agricultural land, were recovered by the Lokayukta police from Gajanan Patidar’s residence. Deputy Superintendent of Police Praveen Singh Bagel said “Nine locations belonging to Gajanan and his family members including his elder brother Ramesh Chandra Patidar and sister were raided on Saturday morning and we have recovered a huge amount of cash and belongings.” A case has been registered and further investigation is on, Baghel added.
