Cops suspect role of a builder in the case
Crime Branch, on Saturday, claimed to have cracked the sensational murder case of transporter Bhupendra Singh Manjit Singh Makan alias Bobby Sardar (46) and arrested four dreaded goons in this connection. The murder was a fallout of old rivalry between the deceased and the accused. Arrested accused have been identified as Shailendrasingh alias Little Sardar Gurucharansingh Lohiya (43), a resident of Plot NO. 204, Ashok Nagar, Pachpaoli; Gurmitsingh alias Babu Bachansingh Khokar (56), a resident of Plot No. 124, Ashok Chowk, Ashok Nagar, Pachpaoli; Harjeetsingh alias Sittu Gurubachansingh Gaur (28), a resident of Plot No. 37, Binaki Mangalwari, Kolba Swami Nagar, Yashodhara Nagar and Manindarsingh alias Hani Harjindarshingh Chandok (44), a resident of Flat No. 301, Number 10 Pulia, Jaripatka while accused Manjieetsingh Wade (55) is absconding.
Addressing a press conference, Joint Commissioner of Police (Joint CP) Ravindra Kadam informed the mediapersons that a CCTV image of an Innova car led to cracking of the murder case. The cops launched searches for a white-coloured Innova car with a sentence written in Punjabi language. The investigators found the car which was registered in the name of an automobile dealer. He told the police that the car was sold to Manindarsingh Chandok for Rs 10 lakh.
Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Manindarsingh from Mumbai on Thursday. Manindarsingh spilled the beans during interrogation and revealed names of other accused involved in the case. The police immediately swung into action and arrested the accused. Joint CP Kadam claimed that all the four accused have confessed for the crime. Two persons had shot at Little Sardar at his office in 2017. He was suspecting Bobby Sardar’s role in the attack. The police were failed to crack the case. “This was one of the main reason behind the murder,” Kadam claimed.
The accused were produced in the court on Saturday and the court remanded them to seven-day police custody. Adv Suddep Jaiswal appeared for the accused. Under the guidance of DCP Detection Nilesh Bharne and ACP Sudhir Nandanwar, the arrest was made by PI Narendra Hiwre, APIs Yogesh Choudhary, Pramod Ghonge, Dhnyaneshwar Bhedodkar, PSI Hemant Thorat, Nitesh Dorlikar, Rafique Khan, Shailesh Patile, Arun Dharme, Dayashankar Bisandre, Rakesh Yadav, Rajendra Baghel, Shatrughna Kadu, Shailesh Thawre, Suresh Hingnekar, Vitthal Nasre, Ramchandra Karemore, Anil Dubey, Raju Potdar, Sham Kadu, Atul Dawande, Harish Bawne, Sheikh Firoz, Vikas Pathak, Sandip Mawalkar, Suraj Bhongade, Suhas Singne, Sheikh Shariff and Satyendra Yadav.
The murder theory Investigators are suspecting that Bobby Sardar was murdered by the accused by strangulating him using a rope in the wee hours of April 26. The accused had threw the body under the bridge near Kathalabodi village in a bid to destroy evidence. Bobby left his office on April 25 at around 11.30 pm. The accused had consumed liquor with Bobby. They boarded in the white coloured Innova car in which they murdered Bobby and threw the body near Kathalabodi village. Chandok fled to Mumbai and Wade to a city situated in North India while other accused remained in the city.
