The NTA conducted NEET exam for admission to undergraduate medical as well as dental courses in the country including 7 medical colleges and 5 dental colleges of Chhattisgarh. There were 12 centers for examination were allotted at steel city and the examination started at 2 pm and completed at 5 pm. But students were advised to reach exam centre hours before the exam so that the checking process can be completed timely. The NTA had also set a NEET exam dress code for students to make avoid any kind of cheating or copying incident. The students today appeared for NEET exam in sleeveless/half-sleeve clothes as NTA has banned full sleeve clothes. Shoes were also not allowed, hence, students were seen in slippers and low heel sandals. Even students were allowed to keep their sunglasses in examination hall too.

The feedback of the students on the difficulty level to today’s NEET UG 2019 exam paper was mixed and many students were of the view that paper was little bit of lengthy and many of them could not attempt all questions. In the paper, biology was easier but physics as well as chemistry was tougher than expected. “I have found questions of physics difficult and chemistry little bit of lengthy.

Because of it I could not attempt all questions and due to negative marking process, I preferred to skip those questions than attempt them,” said Aditi Puri, an aspirant who cleared her class 12th board examination from CBSE this year with 82% marks. “Most of the questions from all three sections of physics, chemistry and biology were asked from syllabus of NCERT books of class 11th as well as 12th. But still we all friends faced difficulties in attempting of questions especially from physics section,” stated Priya, Rohit, Akash and Deepveer, all aspirants of the examination, who appeared in this examination from BSP Senior Secondary School Sector 10. Meanwhile, some of the students stated that many questions of physics and chemistry were numerical and they were difficult as expected. Students of Chhattisgarh board faced difficulties in solving of these questions. But questions of biology were easier and did not find any difficulties to solve them.

“Overall, it was a standard NEET paper and cut-offs are likely to follow the trend similar to 2017 and 2018 NEET examinations. No major surprises and all of them were asked from curriculum of NCERT books,” pointed, Dr P N Singh, educationist. However, students of some centers alleged that answer sheets were given sharp at 2 pm and it took them 10 minutes to fill out details. Students asserted that they should have given the answer sheets before official time. On the other hand, students of Balod, Rajnandgaon and Kabirdham faced difficulties in finding their exam centers. Many of them told that they have allotted exam centers which were located quite a distance from railway stations and also of bus stands.
