Astha Mishra has scored 99 per cent marks in the Class 10 Examination 2019 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). With aggregate 99 per cent marks, Astha is reported to have secured second position in State. Astha, a student of Gyan Ganga Educational Academy, Raipur, said the examination preparation becomes easy when a student follows his/her daily routine. “I believe in the principle ‘kal ka kam aaj karo, aaj ka kam ab’ (never put off till tomorrow what you can do today). Whatever subjects were taught in our school I used to revise them on the same day after coming home and tried to cover some extra if got time. This made my examination preparations smooth and simple,” said a Astha while talking to ‘The Hitavada’ hours after the declaration of the results. Astha said that there is no shortcut to success. Only hard work and dedication pay, she said. “I joined tuition classes in July 2018. My tuition teacher Sonia Vohra helped me in my preparations for subjects like mathematics, SST and science. Besides, there was great motivation from my school teachers. My parents Ravindra Mishra and Aradhana Mishra also supported me a lot,” said Astha who wants to become a doctor in future. “Studying in ICSE School in Banaras upto Class 7 helped me clear my basics which helped me in my high school studies. As my father is employed with a private MNC and his job is transferable, I had to shift with my parents to Raipur and studied at Gyan Ganga from Class 8 to 10. Again, my parents are shifting to Jaipur, I have to shift with them for further study in Jaipur,” said Astha who has scored 98 marks each in English and Sanskrit, 99 in Mathematics and 100 marks each in Science and Social Science.
