Don’t chase success, do your best, says topper Arya

“It is not important to chase success or fame. It is more important to do your best and give your hundred per cent. The success automtaically comes to you. I did the same in the examination,” said Arya Daoo of Bharatiya Krishna Vidya Vihar, who topped in Vidarbha and is second in the State in Central Board of Secondary Education Class X exam by securing 99.41 per cent marks. The results were declared on Monday. Arya secured 597 marks out of 600, including 100 marks each in Science, Mathematics, Sanskrit and Information Technology. She scored 99 in Social Studies and 98 in English. Arya has maintained her record to be first in every examination since Class 1. “I was confident that I will score good marks in the exam, but never thought of getting topper’s place.
 
I want to thank my parents and my teachers, who supported me during my studies.” Arya stated. “My parents did not pressurise me for studies. They supported me a lot during the entire preparation and during examination. They did not even stop me from engaging in extracurricular activities during exams, which I did to relieve myself from the stress.
 
They even did not regret for whatever I could not achieve. Arya’s father Jayant Daoo is an Assistant Superintendent of Post Office in Nagpur and mother Gauri Daoo is a teacher with Modern School.While talking about her teachers, she said, “My school teachers were very helpful as they guided me everything with patience. I wrote mock tests regularly before the board exams.” Instead of rushing for reference books and tuition notes, every student should follow their NCERT text books, which provide ample study material, advised the city topper to her juniors. “I am not a genius, who can study and remember everything. There are so many books and so much to study.
 
I focused on important chapters and studied strategically,” she revealed. arya participated in various school-level competitions like elocution, debate and quiz. She likes to read detective and thriller books and also like singing. Instead of wasting time on social media, she indulges in her hobby of drawing. “Civil Services examinations helps in providing opportunity to serve the nation. I want to prepare for Civil Services. In Class XI, I want to pursue further education in Humanities,” she said.
