New QR codes introduced by SECR for quick tickets

For the purpose of promoting the passenger convenience and paperless ticketing facility, the Unreserved Tickets is being provided through UTS and Mobile App. A new technical facility has been added to the App which is Quick Response Code (QR) code, in five stations of Raipur Division. The facility is available at Raipur, Durg, Bhilai Power House, Bhatapara and Tilda Neora. New QR codes are available in the form of stickers at booking and enquiry office at railway station premises. Passengers can make tickets directly by scanning these codes.
 
The app is available for Android and IOS mobile phones. To promote UTS on mobile app for Un-reserved tickets, regular information is being provided through help booth to the passengers at the station. In the month of April 2019 over 1,07,338 passenger travelled though the mobile app, which is 4.8 percent of all unreserved passengers.
 
It is 1.15 percent of the total revenue received from unreserved tickets in the month. Divisional Commercial Manager, Aditya Gupta informed that the target is to achieve 5 percent of revenue and 10 percent of the passenger number received from the unreserved tickets till the second quarter of this financial year. Railway Administration has requested passengers to use UTS on mobile app which is available at Google play store and IOS app store.
