Trader relieved of Rs 11 lakh cash

A THIEF stole Rs 11 lakh cash from the bag of a businessman at India Son Hotel, Central Avenue, on early Sunday morning. Satish Jugalchand Sethia (58), a resident of Bokadi, Pune, who runs S M Enterprises, had come to the city for some work. He stayed in Room No 405 at India Son Hotel. On Friday night, he had gone to Hingna for some work. A thief entered his room by opening the door lock with a duplicate key and took away Rs 11 lakh from his travelling bag.
 
When Sethia opened his bag around 5.20 am on Sunday, he was shocked to find the cash stolen. Staff from Tehsil Police Station arrived at his room on being informed. Following Sethia’s complaint, police registered a case under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code. Assistant Police Inspector Gaikwad is investigating the case.
 
Mangalsutra stolen: A thief stole a gold ‘Mangalsutra’ worth Rs 60,000 from a house in Jaripatka on Monday. A resident of Plot No 100, Kapil Nagar, Annapurna Kishor Sathwane (48) in her house keeping the main door open. A thief gained entry into the house and took away the ‘Mangalsutra.’ Jaripatka Police are investigating.
