ICSE results out: City’s child prodigy Shreenabh stands third in India

THE Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared ICSE Class 10th results 2019 on Tuesday. Students who appeared for the examinations can check their results online on cisce.org or results.cisce.org. Nagpur’s child prodigy Shreenabh Agrawal, a student of CDS School stood third in the order of merit at national level. Shreenabh secured 499 marks out of total 500. Shreenabh is just one mark behind the national topper. In ICSE, 99.05 per cent girls have qualified Class 10th Board examination and pass percentage of boys is recorded 98.12 per cent. Western region has topped ICSE Class 10th Board exam 2019 with 99.76 per cent.
 
The pass percentage of ICSE Class 10th exam has registered an increase and is recorded at 98.54 per cent, up by 0.03 per cent from last year. However, pass percentage of ISC class 12 exam is recorded 96.52 per cent - a rise by 0.31 per cent from last year. The ICSE exams were conducted in 60 subjects, of which 22 are Indian languages and 10 are foreign languages, including two classical languages. The CISCE will send marksheets and passing certificates to schools on May 11.
 
This year, the ICSE Class 10th Board examinations were held between February 22 and March 25. Nagpur has four schools that runs ICSE course. They include MSB Educational Institute, Marie Poussepin’s Academy, Chanda Devi Saraf School and Seventh-Day Adventist Higher Secondary School. All four schools admit students upto Class X. All the schools have scored 100% result and the students studying there came up with flying colours. Principal of MSB Educational Institute Dr Raziya Husain expressed happiness over result declared on Tuesday wherein students of Nagpur excelled well.
