CITY’S young scientist Shreenabh Agrawal has many laurels and achievements to his credit. On Tuesday, he added another feather in his illustrious cap by grabbing All India Rank 3 with a score of 99.2% in ICSE Board Std X examinations. Shreenabh, a child prodigy, is a pride not only for his parents but also for the entire city. A scientist in making, he has won two international awards and many national awards. He has also achieved recognition from wellknown personalities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Talking about the result, a confident and overwhelmed Shreenabh said he was sure of the score. “Yes, I was expecting this score.
 
The result is outcome of the inputs by my teachers, parents and me,” he said. Shreenabh studied for 8-10 hours in a day daily with breaks for dinner and lunch. He preferred self-study rather than coaching.“ I feel coaching classes make one study according to them. As per my plan, I completed my syllabus till December. Later, I had three months for revision,” he elaborated. A student of the Chanda Devi Saraf School, Shreenabh gave credit of his success to his school teachers.
 
“They helped me in solving my queries, motivated me and made me know my strong and weak points,” Shreenabh said. The only child of Moujesh Tarachand Agrawal, an Assistant Executive Engineer, Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources; and mother Tinu, owner of research consultancy named ‘Prarambh’, Shreenabh gained interest in Science and its unconventional topics since early childhood. Besides a regular column writer with ‘The Hitavada Twinkle Club’ magazine, Shreenabh is an avid reader of encyclopaedia,research books and other fiction, non-fiction books.
 
Shreenabh’s International Awards include first prize in 2018 in International Essay competition for Young People organised by five reputed organisations. In the same year, he won first prize in Pendle War Poetry competition organised at London in the Under-18 overseas category. He has received appreciation letters for his achievement from eminent personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March 2016, CabinetMinisterNitinGadkari, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis andothers. Shreenabh’s familyplayedan importantrole inhis successas they took care of his health throughout the year.His grand mother Vimal Agrawal took care of his diet. She reminded him of taking proper water intake, taking small meals and proper rest. Vimal Agrawal made sure that her grandson did not overexert and keep his body fit and mind calm. Shreenabh has won Mayor Innovation Award for ‘Extraordinary contribution in raising pride of Nagpur through Innovations’.
 
He has achieved recognition like ‘Bal Vaigyanik’ in Bal Vaigyanik Mahotsav, ‘Young Scientist’, ‘Himalayan 2016’ and many more. Shreenabhrunsa free library for children ‘Prarambh- My library’ with more than 2000 books. He has conducted many researches and innovation. He has carried out innovation in science like Cost-effective non deterministic Random number generator (CeNdRn) based on unique entropy source, presented at National Fair in IRIS 2018. He has written a book, ‘Thank You Modiji’ including eight stories on government schemes. Shreenabh is an all-rounder. Besides the field of science, he has received prizes and appreciation in art, computers, language and mathematics and sports. Giving a message to his juniors, Shreenabh said, “Consistent everyday efforts with a lot of patience and practice is all you need for success in ICSE Board exams”.
