Residents make nest for birds with earthern pots

In a humanitarian gesture, residents from Agrasen Nagar in the capital have prepared nests for birds with earthern pots, so as to ensure that the birds do not suffer due to prevailing heat-wave conditions in the state. The inspiration behind this initiative is Vijay Mishra, Deputy General Manager, Chhattisgarh State Power Companies Ltd.
 
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, which was celebrated yesterday, the residents installed such earthern pots containing necessary cushioning and food, on trees and suitable places in their houses as well as in the public garden near their colony. The initiative was carried out under the banner of “Ped Prahari Sansthan”.
 
On the occasion the residents also planted saplings. Vijay Mishra highlighted the significance of trees and presence of birds in human life and environment. Present on the occasion were Vijay Mishra, Ravindra Kamaldeep Gill, K K Lakshmi Khelwar, Suresh Mittal, Pukhraj Jain, Naresh Gupta, Manoj Priya Sinha, Sumit Jain, Vijay Chadda, Sanjay Vandelkar, Randhir Singh, Ratna Mishra and large number of residents and their family members.
