Bhavna Deharia and Megha Parmar, who achieved the rare feat by scaling Mount Everest, met Chief Minister Kamal Nath at Mantralaya on Friday.

Mountaineer Bhavna Deharia and Megha Parmar called on CM Kamal Nath at Mantralaya on Friday. Both shot to limelight after they successfully scaled Mount Everest.  

 

Congratulating both on their success, Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that State Government is making special efforts to promote adventure sports. He said that State Government will provide assistance for journey to the mountaineers who scale Mount Everest. Bhavna Deharia and Megha Parmar are residents of Chhindwara and Sehore respectively. Both accepted the challenge of such a tedious journey backed by their strong will power and reached the peak of Mt Everest and hoisted national flag. Earlier, Bhagwan Singh and Ratnesh Pandey had also scaled the Mt Everest. During the visit, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Jitu Patwari and Director Sports and Youth Welfare Dr S L Thaosen were present.
