Government Polytechnic registers 100% placements

On one hand Polytechnics are facing vacancy issue and on the other Government Polytechnic, Nagpur, shows that students of post-SSC Diploma are on high demand. It registered 100% placements. Students received packages ranging from Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 4.52 lakh. According to experts, these packages are better as compared to what candidates are offered after they complete degree engineering. Sandeep Lambhade, Training and Placement Officer of Government Polytechnic said, “A total of 103 students appeared in campus interviews and all got jobs.
There are still three companies that have not declared their results. We are optimistic about their results too.” Dr Chandrashekhar Thorat, Principal of Government Polytechnic, a humble administrator and academician refused to take whole credit. He said, “It is the result of collective efforts of everybody. Despite we being facing the vacancy issue, Government Polytechnic, Nagpur has registered excellent result in placements.
We keep thriving for excellence in all fields.” Dr Abhay Wagh, Director of Technical Education while talking to ‘The Hitavada’ expressed happiness over the placement results of GP, Nagpur. “GP, Nagpur created a good example by itself and I feel other Polytechnics should follow its footsteps. We have already started establishing industry connect with polytechnics by sending 64,000 students to industries as a part of their active internship programme which is being done for the first time.
