Meena Samaj’s ‘one plant per family’ campaign begins

The regional president informed that ‘Shakti Sangathan’ will try to cover all the districts and make this initiative successful by making the citizens aware about environmental concerns
Meena Samaj Shakti Sangathan led by State President Ram Ghunavat held a Sate-level meeting at under construction hostel on Hoshangabad Road in the State capital on Monday. Campaign of ‘one plant per family’ was inaugurated by MP Pragya Singh Thakur.
The regional president informed that ‘Shakti Sangathan’ will try to cover all the districts and make this initiative successful by making the citizens aware about the environmental concerns. He also shared that the ‘Aradhya’ deity of the Meena Samaj is Lord Minesh who is a ‘Matsya Avtaar’ (incarnation as fish) hence the Samaj believes in worship of nature.
Earlier, Meena Samaj has run a similar initiative where they released more than 1 lakh goldfish into the river Narmada, creating a world record. Lalaram Meena, Bheemsingh Sihara (General Secretary), Harisingh (State Youth President), Jaipal Meena (general secretary, Meena Samaj), Bhuvneshwar Maran (State Executive Chairman) along with other dignitaries of the Meena Samaj were present at the event.
