City’s Apurva stands second in Global Intl India Universe 2019

Nagpur’s Apurva Pathekar stood first runner up in grand finale of Global Mr and Miss International India Universe 2019 presented by Global India Entertainment Production. It was recently held at Riva Beach Resort, Goa. Apurva Pathekar, daughter of Ganesh Prasad Pathekar and Suwarna Pathekar, completed her schooling from Centre Point School, graduated as a computer science engineer from G.H. Raisoni College and currently working as a software engineer in Accenture.
She was interested in modelling since her childhood and used to participate in many modelling contests during her college days. She is the supporter of ‘Save the Animals Campaign ‘. She says, “ I would like to create my own path; that’s what I have learnt.” She gives the credit to her parents and her sister Gunjan Pathekar for always supporting her throughout her journey. She got selected in an audition in Pune and finally made it through a total of around 160 contestants in the finale to bag the coveted 1st runner up crown and won a cash prize.
All 160 contestants went through a 4 day intense grooming sessions by renowned personalities. Portfolio and fashion shoots were done under the guidelines of show director Allie Sharma. Bollywood actor Dino Morea along with some renowned personalities from Bollywood and fashion industry like Kirti Narang, Ankit Nagpal, Varun Katyal graced the judges panel of the finale. The winner of the pageant will represent India at the International pageant in Europe in November 2019.
