A mass campaign Gruhe Gruhe Gayatri Yadnya has been started under the aegis of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Pariwar by Vedmata Gayatri Pariwar Trust in city

‘Gayatri Jayanti’ is the most sacred day on which Adya Shakti Vedmata Gayatri descended on this earth to help almighty create this world. Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, founder of All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP) was the ardent devotee of Gayatri Mata. He pioneered the revival of spirituality, creative integration of the modern and ancient sciences and religion relevant in the challenging circumstances of the present times. Popularly known as Gurudev for his devotees, he was not only a spiritual guru but also a prominent philosopher and a social reformer.

Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya was convinced that modern man could not be persuaded to accept the values of life patronized by ancient spirituality until and unless these were proved to be scientifically viable for the welfare of the individual and the society. This was indeed a herculean task, given the trends of intellectual and scientific evolution over past millennium and almost simultaneous deterioration of religion and culture, which had resulted in a near total neglect of spirituality in the human life and the emergence of blind faiths, misconceptions, and prejudices. The Brahmavarchas Research Institute founded by him in 1979 near Shantikunj stands as a living example of how the idea of scientific spirituality could be implemented and researched in the modern laboratories. Gayatri Jayanti is the most important day in the life of Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya. When he was just 15, on the day of Gayatri Jayanti he had first interaction with his spiritual master (Dada Guru). On his guidance he conducted Mahapurashcharans of 24 lakh Gayatri Mantra for 24 years. He established Gayatri Pariwar and made Gayatri a mass movement. Due to his herculean efforts, today this mantra is reverberating in all parts of the globe. He also passed away on Gayatri Jayanti on June 2, 1990.

Thereafter, his soulmate revered Mata Bhagavati Devi guided the series of Ashwamedha Yagyas, which accelerated the pace of global expansion of the mission during the critical juncture of the decade of change of a millennium and change of an era. She died on September 19, 1994. On the occasion of Gayatri Jayanti Parva this year and to observe death anniversary of Gurudev Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, Dr Pranav Pandya, the present mentor of AWGP had launched a unique campaign ‘Gruhe Gruhe Gayatri Yadnya’ from Jume 2, 2019. On the very first day, the devotees of AWGP had performed Yadnya in 2,40,000 houses across the globe at one time. Vedmata Gayatri Trust in city situated in Jagnade Square is the Zonal Centre of AWGP.

The campaign has been started in the centre too. Kamlesh Parekh, a retired bank employee and devotee of Gayatri Pariwar stated, ‘Gayatri Yadnya’ had been performed in number of houses in city. The main aim was to spread science and principle of Gayatri Mantra to each house in city, Vidarbha region and other areas under this Zonal centre. “The campaign will continue till Gayatri Jayanti 2020 and there is a plan to reach to one crore houses between 2020 and 2026 to spread Gayatri Upasana,” he added. Hement Bende, working as an engineer said, “The campaign has been started to strengthen the nation. Presently, the country has been fighting with number of problems like water crisis, environmental pollution, conflicts between castes, creeds and religions; unemployment, corruption etc. The campaign to perform Gayatri Yadnyna in each and every house has been aimed to support common people fighting with these problems. Installation of Gayatri portrait ‘Devsthapna’ in each house and making them to chant Gayatri mantra daily, can help them to strengthen their minds. The thought revolution will make them to solve their problems with strong mind power.” Gaurishankar Bisen, a retired employee of IBM stated, “During the campaign, the devotees of Gayatri pariwar are visiting each house in city. These devotees are convincing the family members to recite Gayatri Mantra on daily basis.

The family where the Devsthapna has been held is termed as Dev Pariwar. The devotees are also making new members for periodicals and magazines like Akhand Jyoti and Pradnya Abhiyan. They are also installing Dharma Ghat in each house and also installation of Dnyan Mandir with the help of literature. The devotees are preaching importance of Sanskars and revival of sanskars. The new members are inspired to work for the betterment of society and strengthen the nation.”
