Health Minister T S Singhdeo reviews departmental projects

Health Minister T S Singhdeo took review meeting of officials from Health Department. He took detailed information on the project works being carried out by the department. He gave directives for improvement in the projects district wise. Health Secretary Niharika Barik, Director Health Services Shikha Rajput Tiwari and National Health Mission Director Dr Priyanka Shukla were present during the meeting. Health Minister Shinghdeo said that for effective execution of the departmental projects responsibility will be given to the officials.
He opined that Health Department is committed to provide better health services to the patients. He asked Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation (CGMSC) officials to bring transparency is their work. Purchase of medicines to be done on time. He directed the Chief Medical and Health Officers of all districts to establish proper coordination with Health Department, Medical Education Department and CGMSC so that ample amount of medicine is available for common men.
Officials informed that speedy work is being carried out in state towards implementation of Universal Health Care. Soon it will be started in five developmental blocks as pilot project. One developmental block in each division have been selected for the project. Bakavand in Bastar, Patan in Durg, Bagbahra in Mahasamund, Kartala in Korba and Lundra of Sarguja district have been included in the pilot project.
