Pregnant woman killed, body dumped in well=

SENSATION prevailed at Ruikhairi in Butibori area after body of a young pregnant woman tied to cement poles was found in a well on Monday. Prima facie, police said the woman was killed by some persons at a different place and dumped the body in the well in a bid to destroy evidence. Police Inspector Sanjay Purandare of Crime Branch (Nagpur Rural) informed The Hitavada that the killers uprooted two cement poles of a fencing erected for a nearby residential lay-out and tied it to the body with rope.
The accused also removed her clothes so that after decomposition the body would not be identified. Prafulla Uttam Raut (30), a resident of Ward No. 1, Ruikhairi Bori, working with a property dealer, noticed foul smell coming from the well. He was shocked after seeing the body of a woman floating in the well. He immediately alerted the police. Staff of Butibori Police Station rushed to the spot and took out the body. It was sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
PI Purandare said that all the police units were alerted with detailed information of recovery of the body. Police have launched probe into the matter and checking missing cases registered at various police stations in Nagpur Rural and City Police. Cops have registered the case under Sections 302 and 201 of IPC.
