State set for revamp in medical treatment with capacity-building

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis takes initiative to launch 18 projects in GMCs across State Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, Secretary, Medical Education and Research, bestowed with responsibility of success of projects

To improve medical treatment facilities at Government Medical Hospitals (GMCs) across Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has finalised a slew of projects. Fadnavis has announced 18 projects for State GMCs, most of which are local and need-based while some are to cater to needs of those suffering from common diseases.
 
 
Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, Secretary of Medical Education and Research, who has been bestowed with the responsibility of successful implementation of the projects by the Chief Minister, has studied the projects to ensure their success.
An endeavour by Chest Department at Super Specialty Hospital has made a big difference in bringing in changes in medical care in Maharashtra.
 
 
Recently, Chest Department at Super Specialty Hospital had conducted a programme to train Chest specialists of Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) at Chandrapur, Gondia and Yavatmal. This helped the participating doctors follow the treatment modalities in their respective GMCs.
