Police crack Labhandi murder case, arrest 2

With the arrest of two persons, Telibandha police and Raipur’s Cyber Cell claimed to have cracked murder mystery of 30-year-old man reported in city’s outskirt on late Saturday evening “The joint team of Cyber Cell and Telibandha police arrested mastermind of Deepak Naidu’s murder case Arshad Khan alias Bobby Jani (22) and his accomplice Sayeed Nadeem alias Bada Monu (25), both residents of Kashiram Nagar falling in limits of Telibandha police station. Investigators have also recovered knife and two-wheeler used in the crime from the possession of accused duo,” said Telibandha Station House Officer (SHO) Naresh Patel. According to police sources, the murder of Deepak Naidu is the fallout of old enmity. To settle personal score, Arshad invited Deepak for boozing and the duo went to Labhandi-based liquor shop under Telibandha police station where Nadeem was also present.
 
After consuming alcohol, the duo attacked Naidu with sharp-edged weapon and fled the spot. In the attack, Naidu suffered multiple stab injuries on chest, stomach and arm. Naidu was rushed to Dr B R Ambedkar Memorial Hospital Raipur for treatment where he was declared dead while undergoing treatment. In her statement, Naidu’s wife told police investigators that while having conversation with her husband, she heard about altercation and eventually phone got disconnected following which relatives launched search, informed police sources.
 
Following the complaint of Naidu’s sister Mamta, Telibandha police registered an offence under Sections 302, 120B of Indian Penal Code (IPC), which amounting to punishment for murder, punishment for criminal conspiracy and acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention, and under relevant Sections of Arms Act.
