Sincere efforts needed to make women self-reliant: Governor

In a meeting of the State unit of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) organised at Hindi Bhawan here on Saturday, Governor Anandiben Patel said that, efforts should be made to make women self-reliant on a large scale. She said that, women have done a great job in the field of economic self-sufficiency through women self-help groups in Madhya Pradesh. Several women have established their own enterprises by availing the benefits of Mudra Bank Yojana. Governor Patel said that, traders are the base of economy.
 
The difference between trade and business determines the nature of developed and backward economy. She said that, the State Government is working dedicatedly for development and business advancement. The use of technology is growing in every field. She said that, according to an estimate, the world’s 5th largest market will be India by the year 2025. Future business will be based on the manufacturing related to the knowledge of options and services of transactions.
 
The Governor said that, traders need business guidance and conservation for coordination with the circumstances. The Governor said that, changes in ideas come only from experience. It is essential to bring women engaged in business activities forward. Expressing her concern towards the environment, she said that, the work of water conservation and promotion is not the responsibility of the Government and urban bodies alone. For this, the public should also have to come forward. Each person should take up the responsibility of planting a sapling and ensure its survival.
 
Only then will plantations be successful. She appealed to stop wastage of water and food. State President of Confederation Bhupendra Jain said that, 7 crore businessmen of more than 6,000 business associations from 27 states of the country are members of the organisation.
