Chhattisgarh Parents Association (CPA) has alleged the Schools of depriving the Below Poverty Line (BPL) children from full quota of Right the Education (RTE) Act. Association State President Christopher Pail made this accusation on private schools in a press conference on Tuesday. He even went on to say that School Education Department and Directorate of Public Instruction are also hand-in-glove with the private schools in this act.

Thousands of children are not being given admission on vacant seats by concerned officials. The High Court had ordered to fill up all the vacant seats under the RTE Act in 2016, but close to 43000 seats couldn’t be fill in 2018-19 session, which directly benefited to the private schools. In the 2019-20 session, there are 35000 seats still not occupied. Private schools have started from April 1 and other schools will also commence the new session from June 24, but the RTE seats are still not given to the eligible children. Paul demanded stringent actions against the officials after inspection in the case.
