Girl’s death in water tank: FSL report says she was raped

New revelation has come to fore in Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report in the death case of a 10-year-old girl, who was found dead in a water tank in an under-construction building in Ratibad area around 3 months ago. It was found that she was sexually assaulted before being thrown alive in water tank. According to Ratibad police, the deceased girl is a resident of Nathu Barkheda area and around 3 months ago, she went missing under mysterious circumstances while playing outside her home in the afternoon on March 7. Her family members searched her for everywhere but she was not found.
 
Later in the evening, her body was found floating in the water tank in an under-construction building. In the initial investigation police assumed that she accidentally fell into the water tank and died of drowning. And in the post-mortem report also nothing suspicious thing came out.
 
But later, the FSL report of deceased girl revealed that she was sexually assaulted and then thrown alive in the water tank assuming her dead. Now, police have registered a case under sections 376 and 302 of the IPC and relevant sections of Indian Penal Code against unidentified accused in girl’s death case and further investigation is on to nab the accused.
