Separate eunuch groups have unanimously distributed their areas for collecting gifts and valuables
“Long dispute of eunuchs for area dominance was finally settled with the intervention of Police Department. Separate eunuch groups have unanimously distributed their areas for collecting gifts and valuables. Eunuchs will also find fake eunuchs and hand them over to police instead of clashing with them. Demanding gift in other areas will be completely prohibited. while merging of eunuch from one to another group will not be allowed as per the legal agreement between eunuch groups,” informed Heera Bai, Eunuch Guru while addressing a press conference, on Wednesday. It may be noted that, there is a tradition in the country to take the blessings of eunuchs, which is considered as good omen for new born child and newly married couple and giving cash or ornaments as gifts to eunuchs. Since past decades, separate groups of eunuchs were formed and they started disputes over area dominance.
Several eunuchs were injured in different groups clashes reported at regular intervals in different areas in the past. Addressing the press conference, eunuch Heera Bai informed that the dispute was settled in presence of Eunuch Guru, Sabra Haji under the direction of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Jabalpur), Bhagwat Singh Chouhan, Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh and CSP, Kotwali, Deepak Mishra in presence of SHOs of Lordganj, Kotwali and Belbagh police stations. She expressed her gratitude towards Police Department for intervening in the dispute and providing equal opportunity to different eunuch groups. As per the agreement reached at between eunuch groups, every group will abide by the norms of demanding gifts in their specified areas.
Replying to a query, Heera Bai said that, eunuchs have no religion as they gave equal importance to every religion and never differentiate edibles and gifts in the name of religion. Some persons are trying to divide eunuchs in the name of religion for their vested interests. During the press conference, senior eunuchs Padma Guru, Binni, Radha, Manju and other eunuchs were present.
