Foreigners accept Science behind Yog and follow it religiously, whereas Indians take Yog for granted and do not practice it so seriously. Health and exercise culture are more significant outside India, says Swami Mahesh

SWAMI Mahesh, the first wandering Yogi born and brought up in Raipur will give a glimpse of what wonders Yoga can make if combined with Science on International Yoga Day in the capital city on Friday. He will be apart of the Positive Health Zone’s ‘Happiness Fest’ to be organised here at Gandhi Udyan from 6 am to 9 am. Swami Mahesh said he has experienced vast difference between foreigners and Indians who are practicing Yoga. The foreigners accept Science behind Yog and follow it religiously once satisfied whereas Indians take Yog for granted and doesn’t practice it so seriously.

Health and exercise culture are more significant outside, he added. He further said that there should be a period on ‘Yoga’ in schools so that early education teaches children discipline in their lives. Yoga should not be counted under the banner of religion and 5-6 years of children should be taught basic of Yoga. This will help in preventive measures against diseases. Maximum people of 20-40 years of age practice Yoga but they are attracted to do so when they start facing the health issues, Swami stated. He informed that every 90 minutes breathing process changes.

Right nostril is Surya Nadi while left nostril is Chandra Nadi. The Medical Science treats it as sympathetic and parasympathetic system. So in the modern world it is essential to make people understand that the ancient Yog is a complete Science in itself and has cure to all the diseases, only condition is people have to follow it regularly and religiously. The patient with chronic disease can be cured provided the concerned learn Yoga from an expert and practice it as a medicine, he added.
