Shivraj demands justice for Shivam’s parents
   Date :22-Jun-2019

BJP workers, led by ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan staged a dharna at Bharat Mata square and sought justice to parents of Shivam, who died in police custody recently. Shivam’s parents also participated in dharna.

Expressing concern over death of Shivam Mishra, Chouhan told that he is deeply pained by seeing the situation of Shivam’s parent. Accusing police of killing Shivam, Chouhan told that such kind of things would not be tolerated. The fight is not against police rather it is against those who committed the crime. Chouhan added that dharna is a symbolic protest and he demands CBI probe into the case.

He also told that CM Kamal Nath should meet the parents of Shivam and ensure justice to them. On this occasion, Chouhan’s wife Sadhna Singh, ex-minister Umashankar Gupta, ex-MLA Surendra Nath Singh, BJP District President Vikas Veerani and others were present. After the dharna, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, accompanied by his wife Sadhna Singh, Shivam’s parents and MLA Rameshwar Sharma, went to Raj Bhawan and met Governor Anandiben Patel. He apprised Governor about the incident in which Shivam died and requested to help in providing justice to Shivam’s family. He also demanded stern action against guilty cops. It is learnt that Governor has summoned IG and DIG in connection with the case.
