Yoga Day: Overwhelming participation of residents

The 5th International Day of Yoga rejuvenated the enthusiasm of ancient art Yoga amongst the residents. The district witnessed overwhelming participation of residents from every section of society to maintain healthy body and soul.
 
Main programme of International Day of Yoga was organised with the participation of a large number of persons comprised of school children, public representatives, administrative and police officers and officers of several departments at Ranital Cricket Stadium, on Friday.
 
The 30-minute event started at sharp 7 am and participants conducted 21 Yoga ‘Asans’ under the guidance of trainers in a disciplined manner. Keeping aside all the controversies, people from every section and age group from society performed Yoga together and spread message of peace and healthy living.
 
Eminent those who special present during the programme to encourage residents for practicing Yoga include MLA Ajay Vishnoi, MLA Vinay Saxena, Collector Bharat Yadav (IAS), Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS) District Panchayat, Chief Executive Officer, Rajni Singh, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Commissioner, Ashish Kumar, Additional Collector Dr Saloni Sidana and other eminent citizens.
 
During the programme, a large number of students of police personnel, public representatives, officers of education department, district administration, police department and residents performed Yoga. Participants performed Yoga exercises as per the live directions of Yoga trainers through LED screen from Ranchi (Jharkhand) where the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi performed Yoga.
 
Besides this, International Day of Yoga was enthusiastically at several Government Departments, Development Blocks, educational institutions and several social and private organisations. On the occasion, Collector, Bharat Yadav expressed gratitude towards public representatives, officers and employees of Government departments and eminent residents for their enthusiastic participation in Yoga training to spread the message of live a healthy life. He extended appeal towards participants to ensure regular practice of
Yoga to maintain healthy body and soul.
